Things to Do and Not to Do in Weddings

In a wedding, everyone definitely needs to look proper as it will always be a formal, unless you are following a certain theme that the bride and groom have set up. Of course, if you are going to a formal wedding, you need to have the proper attire.

One main thing that you need to avoid, unless you were told to do so, is to wear white as it competes directly with the bride. You can always choose other colors to wear. If it is a day time affair, avoid wearing black or sequins. Never worry about having the same colors with the bridesmaids or the mothers, there is always a chance of this happening and the only thing that you really need to worry about is avoiding taking spotlight from the bride. Make sure that you wear something genuinely feminine and ethically appropriate in respect to the hosts. Revealing clothes are simply prohibited. Things like strapless, see-through, and miniskirts are just some example. If you have to ask if it is ok, then it probably is not. If you are wearing gloves, take them off if you are eating or drinking.

Lastly, if it is not indicated, do not take a wild guess on what kind of attire you can wear for the occasion.
